The Suze and Boo Boo

I am the living embodiment of Bridget Jones (yes, I know a lot of women say this, but read on and you'll see it's me in the flesh). I somehow manage to inadvertently say and do the wrong thing at the wrong time and I too went through the Daniel Cleaver years before I finally came to my senses and met my Darcy.

In fact, you've come into my life at the end of the second Bridget Jones novel so it would be best to consider this blog as the third instalment of these books for I married my Darcy in May 2011.

A little about me:

1) I'm Leeds born and bread, and a proud Yorkshire lass at heart (but do not sport the accent). I lived in America for 13 years and loved it. I begrudgingly moved back to the UK, but everything happens for a reason. If I'd stayed in America I wouldn't have met my wonderful TH (The Husband).

2) I love, love, lurrve to cook! (Hence the ever-depressing cycle of dieting, and the sumptuous recipes on this blog). Some of you may have seen my 'Come Dine With Me' episode. No? Good. Don't bother. It wasn't very good, and I didn't win. But I'm glad I did it because life is seldom about the winning, and more about the journey.

3) TH and I are soon to embark on our third round of IVF. Phew. That's a whole emotional rollercoaster of a journey in itself, and an area I'll delve more into through the blog posts. The expectations, the waiting, the fear, the hope, the disappointment all in the space of a few weeks. It really does take you on one heck of a ride.

4) Did I mention that TH is an MP? No. Think I forgot that. Well, yes, he's an MP up here in Leeds, and in itself the role brings vicarious trials and tribulations for me. Again, more to be revealed in posts.
